BEVERLY, MA — Green Beverly needs your help to secure a $25,000 grant that will help the organization's efforts to feed Beverly residents in need as well as reduce the city's environmental footprint.
Green Beverly is the lone Massachusetts entry chosen as one of 200 finalists out of more than 4,000 entries. One hundred of the finalists will qualify for the grants with a vote held through Friday to determine the recipients.
Voting takes about five seconds for those who log in with Google or Facebook and does not require registration. Those who want to support Green Beverly's efforts can do so here.

Green Beverly Director of Communications Margaret Collins said Green Beverly moved from spot No. 185 all the way to 107 as of Thursday and stood at 115 as of Friday.
Green Beverly collects excess, edible food from our restaurants, supermarkets, and local farms and then provides them to residents while reducing industry waste.
With a $25,000 grant, Green Beverly would be able to purchase capital, hire staff and rent the transportation needed to make this project a reality.
Capital equipment includes a walk-in freezer and walk-in cooler, dry storage shelving, and inventory management software for its church basement location.
This grant will allow Green Beverly to create a centralized, coordinated approach to food insecurity and environmental footprint reduction that will serve Beverly in years to come.
Voters can show their support once per day through Friday.
