Press release from the Suffolk County Government: May 1, 2022 Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on May 1, 2022. Last updated April 30, 2022 COVID-19 Vaccine Information 1,220,103 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 117. 1,108,521 people are fully vaccinated, an increase of 155. 75.9% percent of the total population is fully vaccinated. 80.2% of the population ages 5 and older is fully vaccinated. 95.0% of the population ages 18 and older has received at least one dose. (The percent of the population coverage metrics are capped at 95%.) 87.0% of the population ages 18 and older is fully vaccinated. 49.7% of the population ages 18 and older has had a first booster dose. 47.8% of the population ages 12 and older has had a first booster dose. Positive antigen tests will still be reported to New York State and reporting of new daily cases and cases per 100k will continue to include both PCR and antigen tests.
