A General Service Technician is accountable for properly and safely performing the tire and related services needed for our clients. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Ability to safely perform or quickly master most maintenance work such as oil changes, tire rotations, suspension alignments, etc. • Maintain a positive attitude and team-focused approach at all times. • Act in a professional manner suitable as to represent a quality organization with which you are employed, in every instance projecting an attitude of honesty, integrity, and respectfulness. • Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by management. • Examine each vehicle and discuss with service writer/service manager the nature and extent of any damage or malfunction. Provide recommendations for repair, parts list needed to perform recommended repairs and hours required to perform the repairs using industry standard labor guides. Provide list of all items needing attention, whether maintenance, safety or other. • Ensure all under-car, under-hood and preventive maintenance inspections and reports are complete and accurate. • Raise the vehicle with hydraulic jack or lift, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to the underside of vehicle, using proper equipment and safety procedures. To be successful, you must have: • Valid and clean driver’s license • Must enjoy and excel in a team environment • Must have an upbeat and positive outlook • Must be able to function well in a physically demanding environment • Must be dedicated and reliable WORK WITH A COMPANY WHERE YOU ARE RESPECTED AND NOT TREATED LIKE A NUMBER!
