Arnold Crash Prompts Assault, Attempted Robbery At 7-Eleven: Police

ARNOLD, MD — County police announced that a man was assaulted after a car crash this week in Arnold. The suspect showed a knife and tried to rob the victim, officers said. Authorities heard about the confrontation Monday around 1:30 p.m. Police said they responded to the 7-Eleven located at 730 E College Parkway. The 26-year-old victim got into a wreck with a black Ford Focus. He pulled into the convenience store parking lot and approached the other driver, officers said. While speaking with the Ford driver, a Ford passenger became confrontational. Authorities accused the Ford passenger of: Displaying the knifeShoving the victimThreatening himDemanding money The Ford driver separated the passenger and the victim. Police said the Ford passenger then took a pair of sunglasses from the victim's vehicle. The victim went into the store. The passenger got back in the Ford sedan and left the area, a press release said. The victim left the 7-Eleven and noticed that the Ford was following him, officers said. Authorities said the suspect threw a water bottle at the victim's vehicle before driving in a different direction. Police searched the area, but they could not find the Ford.
