6 Men Accused Of Human Trafficking, Portland Police Say

PORTLAND, ME — Six men are facing charges in connection with a local human trafficking operation, Portland police said Tuesday. The arrests are the result of an investigation by the Greater Portland Coalition Against Sex Trafficking and Exploitation, police said. The men are facing charges including engaging a prostitute and patronizing prostitution of a minor. According to authorities, the following men have been charged: Jordan Nikina, 29, of South Portland, was charged with engaging a prostitute, Class E.Sean McKenney, 47, of Glastonbury, Connecticut, was charged with engaging a prostitute, Class E. Brett Norton, 43, of Casco, was charged with engaging a prostitute, Class E.David Durrell, 61, of Hollis, was charged with engaging a prostitute, Class E.Spencer Richie, 59, of Freeport, was charged with engaging a prostitute, Class E.Duane Lowe, 57, of New Castle, was charged with patronizing prostitution of a minor, Class C. Police with the Portland, South Portland, Westbrook, Gorham, Brunswick, Falmouth and Yarmouth police departments assisted with the investigation. The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, the FBI Safe Street Task Force and prosecutors from the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office also provided support.
