Book Launch: Travel North Black Girl-A 3,000 Mile Journey in Search of Home, Peace, and Love

Join Olivia Hill, an award-winning playwright, artist, and author release her new memoir. Experience the journey of coming from the Black community of Kansas City and traveling for the first time out of state to live in an indigenous village in Alaska. This coming-of-age story shows the challenge and triumph that trauma can bring, the fortitude of the human spirit, and the healing power of nature. Come hear a special reading of the newly released book and meet the Alaskan artist that created the painting for the cover- Klara Maisch. A reception will follow at the Elixir Soda Fountain with catered light hors d’oeurves and refreshments. Book purchases and signings will also be available.
