We Are Their Voices recognizes National Gun Violence Awareness Wear Orange Weekend with a Scholarship Brunch and Silent Auction.
We Are Their Voices recognizes National Gun Violence Awareness June 4th during our Wear Orange Scholarship Brunch and Silent Auction.
We Are Their Voices is located in Summerville South Carolina. Founded by Tisa Whack and Chandra Bryant after both of our only sons/child were senselessly murdered at the hands of gun violence.
The mission of We Are Their Voices is to provide services to gun violence survivors and bring education and awareness to community members.
Four scholarships will be presented to high school seniors that attend Dorchester School District 2 and 4 High Schools -Summerville High School, Fort Dorchester High, Ashley Ridge High School, or Woodland High School who have written a essay on “The Effects of Gun Violence” and how they plan to be a voice in efforts to reduce gun violence.
In addition, this will be an opportunity for everyone attending to hear the lived experience of gun violence survivor Tavis Wallace and to learn more about the work that We Are Their Voices is doing in the community as well as the work that other community partners, supporters, and volunteers are doing in gun violence prevention efforts.
Join us in remembrance of lives taken and injured by gun violence but also to celebrate life and our goal of creating a community that is free of gun violence.
