Join the Norman Bird Sanctuary to learn about and enjoy the bountiful feast that can be found in Rhode Island forests and your own backyard. Learn how to identify, harvest, and cook easy recipes with Johnson and Wales culinary student, Aidan Hunt. Enjoy a guided walk with Norman Bird Sanctuary educators while learning about invasive plants, their management, and sustainable harvesting. End the day with a live cooking demonstration and scrumptious samples! You'll even be able to take home locally-curated recipes and more knowledge about the wonderful feasts growing around us. Please note that the Norman Bird Sanctuary does not allow any collecting or foraging on our property. This class can be used as a resource to help identify, manage, and utilize invasive plants on your own property.
