Press release from the City of Marion: April 25, 2022 The City of Marion is pleased to announce the return of the Moonlit Movie series at the Klopfenstein Amphitheater at Lowe Park. Three outdoor movie nights are planned, including: Friday, May 27 featuring "Sing 2"Friday, July 8 featuring "Cruella"Friday, Aug. 5 featuring "Encanto" Free kids' activities like face painting, balloon twisting and inflatables will begin at 7 p.m. The feature presentation will begin around 8:30 p.m. (dusk). Outside food and drink are permitted but select snack vendors will be onsite during the event, including free popcorn from the Shriners' Popcorn Mobile. Guests should bring chairs or blankets for general lawn seating. Parking is available in three hard-surface lots, as well as marked overflow areas in the grass. Please, no dogs or other pets. Marion's parks are proud to be smoke-free, nicotine-free and tobacco-free. Moonlit Movies are hosted by the Marion Parks and Recreation Department and supported by Marion's Hotel/Motel Grant Program.
