Press release from Black Hawk College: May 1, 2022 Quad-Cities Campus – Thursday, May 19 at 7 p.m. at the TaxSlayer Center in downtown Moline, 1201 River Drive. East Campus – Friday, May 20 at the Illinois National Guard Armory in downtown Kewanee, 111 N. East St. In order to comply with COVID-19 restrictions, the East Campus will have two small ceremonies at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Graduates will be divided by program (see below). For all ceremonies: Parking is free. Both venues are handicapped accessible. There will be a sign language interpreter at all ceremonies. Masks are optional but encouraged. Guests are asked to please sit with social distancing between groups. Tickets are NOT needed to attend the Quad-Cities Campus Commencement Ceremony. There is NOT a limit on the number of guests. The TaxSlayer Center has a no bag policy. Bags are not permitted in the arena with the exception of: A small 5″ x 7″ x 1″ clutch purse A small diaper bag if entering with an infant Camera bags Medically required bags Any purse or bag larger than 5″ x 7″ x 1″ will need to be returned to your vehicle or checked in at Guest Services. All bags/purses entering the building are subject to being opened and a visual search. All TaxSlayer Center guests and attendees will be required to enter through entrances with walk-through metal detectors. A concession stand will be open. Tickets will be required for both East Campus ceremonies. Graduates will be limited to four (4) tickets each. 10 a.m. – Associate in Applied Science degrees and career certificates Examples: Accounting (AAS), Agribusiness Management (AAS), Agriculture Production (animal science, beef and swine certificates), Agriculture Production Technology (AAS), Business (AAS), Equestrian Science (AAS), General Occupational & Technical Studies (GOTS), Horse Science Technology (AAS and certificate), Medical Assisting (certificate), Veterinary Assisting (certificate), Veterinary Technology (AAS) and Welding (certificate) 2 p.m. – Transfer degrees Examples: Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Science – Ag Transfer For more information, contact Enrollment Services at the East Campus or Enrollment Services at the Quad-Cities Campus at 309-796-5338, or [email protected].
