Woman Dies After Being Found Unresponsive In Suffolk Lake

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a woman who was found unresponsive in a lake Wednesday night. Delores Evans, 39, was found unresponsive in Upper Lake in Yaphank around 8:40 p.m. by two people on shore. Evans, who had no known address, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue where she was pronounced dead. An autopsy will be performed by personnel from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner to determine her cause of death. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392.
