Press release from San Diego County Sheriff's Department: May 2, 2022 Sheriff's Homicide detectives have continued their investigation into the homicide of Kimberly Gutierrez in Bonita which occurred on October 20, 2021. The suspect identified in this case is thirty-year-old, Evaline Janet Lemus. Lemus in currently an incarcerated person at the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility for unrelated charges. Lemus has additionally been charged with 187 (a)PC – Murder. The circumstances and motivations in this case are still under investigation.
