Great Outdoor Job Opportunity in Anchorage! Weidner Apartment Homes is now hiring for a full-time, permanent Landscaper! If you have experience working in Groundskeeping and/or Landscaping, enjoy working with others and are looking to work for a company with strong stability look no further we have the job for you! We are looking for someone who is physically fit, enjoys spending time outdoors, and is not afraid of a little dirt. Responsibilities will include: • Mowing, edging, fertilizing and re-seeding lawns, water plants manually as directed • Maintaining and pruning shrubbery and trees to pristine appearance • Maintaining flower beds including installation, removal and pruning of plantings • Manage irrigation watering schedule, make necessary repairs of line and sprinkler heads • Rake and remove leaves, blow debris from sidewalk and parking areas • Maintaining all landscaping equipment including oil maintenance, sharpening of blades and keeping all equipment in proper working order • Prompt with regular attendance, maintaining a professional appearance at all times while on duty Qualifications include: • Experience in landscape maintenance, landscape construction and irrigation • Ability to operate safely landscape machinery including but not limited to: riding lawn mower, edger, chainsaw, power hedge trimmer and blower • Knowledge of trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals, skilled in pruning styles and techniques • Valid and current driver’s license and proof of insurance • Working knowledge of English, detail oriented and well organized • Able to life and carry up to 80 pounds, able to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds • Must have experience using a Snow Plow and Loader • Able to work outdoors (constant) in all weather conditions • Must agree to a criminal background check and a drug test We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits including medical, dental and vision, education reimbursement up to $2500 per year, matching 401k program and a generous 30% discount on rent at any Weidner Community in the area!
