Here are the top three stories today in Charleston: The City of Charleston is prepared to move into the second phase of the Forest Acres Drainage Improvement Project. The second phase is meant to address the flood-prone area of West Ashley off Highway 61. This next phase will likely cost between $8 million and $10 million to construct 1,000 feet worth of pipes under Playground Road along with additional improvements. (Live 5 News WCSC)Mayor John Tecklenburg has announced that May 5 will be the National Day of Prayer Charleston Observance. Residents can join the event at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 9:15 a.m. The hour-long service will be in conjunction with the rest of the nation's celebrations regarding the national day of prayer signed into law by President Ronald Regan in 1988. Participants will be able to enjoy live music, dance performances, wine tastings, and generous amounts of Greek food.
