Here are the top three stories today in Charleston: Charleston's new bishop will be ordained and installed into his new position on May 13 during a special ceremony. Bishop-Elect Jacques Fabre-Jeune will be the diocese's 14th bishop. The ordination ceremony will be live-streamed via the diocese's Youtube and Facebook accounts. (WLTX.com)A Charleston-based flight was diverted after one of the plane's wings lost a portion due to severe turbulence. The flight was with American Airlines and was headed to Dallas. The piece that fell off is called a winglet and it is meant to improve a plane's cruising range while increasing fuel efficiency. (Live 5 News WCSC)A study is being conducted by the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission at the McLeod Plantation cemetery. The study is meant to map and identify the roughly 300 unmarked graves of enslaved African Americans and their descendants. The department is inviting those with connections to the cemetery to be involved in the process.
