HIGHLAND PARK, IL – The weather may not feel anything like summer these days, but the Ravinia Festival is banking on the fact things will warm up at some point and is presenting more than 100 shows at the popular music venue in Highland Park Tickets went on sale on Wednesday. Ravinia is presenting a host of headliners this season and begins later this month. The shows run through Sept. 18 and include performances by Pitbull, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Sting, Sheryl Crow, and Jackson Browne. Other popular shows include performances by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Bonnie Rait, The Black Crowes, and others. Ticket prices vary by performance. This is the second straight year Ravinia is back in the music business after the COVID-19 pandemic shut the venue down in the summer of 2020. Park officials said it marked the first time the festival was closed since the Great Depression. Patrons will not be permitted to show proof of vaccination or wear masks this year but are encouraged to keep their distance as COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Illinois. The venue is again offering reserved lawn seats, which offers groups of two, four or six people to sit in a marked off area that is a reasonable distance from other patrons. Tickets for all of the season's shows may be found by clicking here. Ravinia officials have again partnered with Metra to offer free transportation for patrons attending shows this summer.
