Description
BURR RIDGE, IL – The superintendent for Pleasantdale School District 107 is pushing for a lower speed limit if a Wolf Road improvement project happens.
Superintendent David Palzet noted Cook County has already reduced the speed limit to 40 mph, from 45 mph, in front of Pleasantdale Middle School.
"Our kids cross that street probably every 40 minutes for gym," Palzet said at a Burr Ridge Village Board meeting last week. "If this project were to go through, we would advocate for that speed limit to go down to 35 for that section in front of the school."
Engineer Tony Spinelli said the reduction was already in the plan. He is the engineer for Indian Head Park, which is spearheading the project on behalf of Cook County.
The Wolf Road improvements would involve sections of the road in Indian Head Park, Burr Ridge, Countryside and Willow Springs.
