Press release from the City of Eden Prairie: April 29, 2022 Arbor Day Event Canceled Due to the predicted weather tomorrow, Saturday, April 30, the Arbor Day Walk event is canceled. Those who pre-ordered trees can still plan to pick them up between 9 a.m. and noon at Round Lake Park. Spring Recycling Curbside Pickup Beginning Monday, Eden Prairie residents can schedule curbside pickup for recycling of appliances, tires, power equipment, electronics, propane tanks, exercise equipment, furniture, mattresses, box springs and more. The fee for the pickup is $35, plus the cost per item being recycled. More details are available at edenprairie.org/RecyclingEvents. Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed Board The Hennepin County Board is recruiting volunteers for two vacancies on the Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District Board. A member may not be a public officer of the county, state or federal government and must be a resident of the district. Members serve three-year terms. Electric Vehicle Survey Minnesota is working to become a leader in electric vehicle use in the Midwest, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation is working on a plan to invest federal funds in electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. MnDOT is asking for feedback to help create a statewide EV infrastructure plan. Participate in the survey. Affordable Connectivity Program The federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) provides eligible low-income households a credit up to $30 a month toward the cost of internet service ($75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands). Participants in the program can apply the ACP credit for participating plans from a variety of internet service providers, including Comcast, as well as mobile services.
