Description

On April 22, students at Enchanted Care Learning Center and Enchanted Care Kids Campus in Delaware explored a bug's life in celebration of Earth Day as they released more than 4,500 ladybugs and butterflies throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Students were dressed for the occasion in the likeness of ladybugs, wearing red and black clothing and antennae. In addition to the ladybug and butterfly release, students planted flowers in biodegradable pots that can be planted directly into the ground. Students also made biodegradable bird seed feeders. Leading up to Earth Day, students learned the crucial roles that ladybugs and butterflies have in the environment. Enchanted Care teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
