Here are the top stories in Riverhead today: The Riverhead Planning Board will hold a public hearing that will dictate the nature and scope of environmental review for a proposed 131-acre industrial subdivision in Calverton. The Middle Country Road site is west of Splish Splash Water Park, opposite the lavender farm, and extends south to the Long Island Expressway. According to an article in Newsday, the space had been vacant for two years and the coffee chain will occupy a 1,000-square-foot space. Police said in a news release Wednesday morning that Ian Saalfield, 45, of Lake Grove, and the homeowner, Robert Julian, 58 were found in the home.
