Powerpop / punk trio seeks hardhitting, high energy, inventive drummer

Established trio of older guys - dedciated to the urgency and energy of OG punk/power pop - as well as pushing the boundaries of the Gtr-Bass-Drums format - is seeking a drummer. Our drummer just departed to focus on stuff on the more jazz side - so we're hoping to find someone with a lvoe and knowledge of this ouvre: The Jam Buzzcocks Johnny Thunders Syl Sylvain Plimsouls Dictators Replacements Go4 Burma VU Iggy Reducers etc. And, we working up some stuff a bit more on the psych-prog vein - but not of the boring wankery type. We like shorter songs, short solos vs. long jams. Elements of classic rock (e.g. Cream) and more obscure (e.g. Pere Ubu) have also been known to creep into set We practice 1-2x per month - and try to gig as much as we can. So, it's not high commitment. It's also easy: we practice at a house in Weymouth with a drum kit. it's chill. Backing vocals would be great, but not at all essential.
