Job description POSITION SUMMARY Therapeutic Companions support the function and operations of the residential facilities and clients we serve. Therapeutic Companions make certain of an effortless and efficient administration of care while maintaining the quality and integrity of services we provide. Therapeutic Companions take part in improving and upholding a therapeutic environment for clients as well as assisting in accomplishing treatment goals. Work locations include: Mission Hills, College Area, and Mission Valley Essential Functions: Provide support to participants during their recovery process Observe patients in the self-administration of medication Skilled in documentation in Best Notes Systems client management software Establishing a constant presence and awareness of client behavior Interact with clients as appropriate and provide support Transports clients to community resources and residential facilities Fostering socially acceptable habits and behaviors Maintaining cleanliness of facility and food preparation as needed Facilitating groups as needed, program activities, and maintaining client schedules Communicating thoroughly between shifts Other duties as assigned by management Competencies: Must be able to maintain boundaries with clients Ability to multi-task, delegate tasks, manage client care, maintain facility standards Have the passion to assist those with chemical dependency in their recovery Must be able to work nights Education: Minimum High School Graduate or GED Preferred Experience: 1-year experience in the field of recovery Prior experience in detox environment highly desired Computer Skills: Computer literacy, email and google hangouts Ability to learn proficiency in Best Notes Systems client management software Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License CPR/First AID preferred Other Requirements: TB test results must be negative within past year Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings Minimum of 2 years sobriety, if in recovery Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
