Hello! Community Murals Sacramento is a year long pilot program through Sacramento's Office of Arts + Culture. We partner small teams of local muralists with community groups to collaboratively design a mural that reflects neighborhood values. Then, we throw a party and invite the public to come out and paint the wall in paint-by-number mural experience during the Community Mural Paint Day. We have food, music, additional art activities and a free raffle. These hyper local Community Mural Paint Days are free and family friendly. Still with me? We need behind the scenes help setting up and staffing the next Community Mural Paint Days. **No art experience necessary!** Sunday, May 15th Time: 10:30 am - 3:30 pm Set up 10:30 - 12 Event: 12-3 Breakdown: 3-3:30 Volunteer Positions: *Registration table *Hand out art supplies and keep craft table organized *Work side-by-side with the muralists by rinsing brushes and filling paint cups Address: In the neighborhood of Folsom Blvd near Florin Perkins Road Sunday, May 29th Time: 8:30 am - 2:30 pm Set-up 8:30 - 10:00 am Event: 10 am - 2 pm Clean-up: 2-2:30 pm Volunteer Positions: *Registration table *Hand out art supplies and keep craft table organized *Work side-by-side with the muralists by rinsing brushes and filling paint cups Address: 5th Street at Broadway Check out our past events and photos at www.CommunityMuralsSacramento.org Please note - everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the day!
