Job duties consist of the following. Job duties may change at the discretion of the company. The Commercial Superintendent would be responsible for overall quality, safety, and production efficiency in the field. • Paint Superintendent reports to General Superintendent for daily assignments, upcoming projects, and status on current projects under his supervision. • Crew scheduling and management. • Direct all painters to achieve completion of the projects on schedule, within the man hours budgeted for this project and ensure the quality of work is up to our company standards • Paint Superintendent trains painters on different techniques, spray equipment, specialized paints and application techniques. • Maintain construction schedule, identify and solves problems. • Ability to read floorplans/blueprints. • Ability to maintain inventory for projects; order materials and avoid over-ordering. • Paint Superintendent must be able to communicate effectively with General Contractors and at meetings, to maintain positive relationships, in person and via email/phone/text. • Schedule job walks with the GC superintendent. • Schedule and supervise the completion of the final punch list. • Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards immediately. • Shows up on time and ready to complete work. • Ensure that all on site paint shops are maintained and organized. • Paint when needed. Keep a clean set of painter's clothes in the vehicle. • Other tasks include: working with estimators on project assessments, interviewing prospective employees, troubleshooting jobsite issues, etc. • Keep a daily log describing your projects. • Be an expert on all paint materials and processes. Constantly discuss with estimators and paint reps to stay updated. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Must have a valid driver’s license and cleaning driving record. • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
