Description
We have had Arlo 5 years, since he was a puppy; unfortunately for our family, Arlo needs a stable home without children (had a bad interaction with our toddler). Can likely live with smaller dogs and cats (lives with one now), but will need a slow and gentle introduction.
Extremely smart, loyal, totally potty-trained, and well-mannered around the house. No concerns whatsoever leaving out food, giving him freedom to roam the house when out, etc.
Loves to be outdoors, exploring, chasing squirrels (unsuccessfully) and running. When not out for a walk, he loves to tug on ropes or play fetch. Can do all the standard commands, has good vocal control, won't pull while walking, and will come on command, almost no matter what he's doing. If you give him a bell, he'll ring it when he needs to go outside to use the bathroom.
Arlo is uncomfortable around larger dogs or when approached while on-leash, and can be protective of resources around other dogs; he has also developed a limp (has had ACL surgery, but it hasn't fully fixed his rear leg).
He's a good dog and I wish we could find a way to keep this his home, but we just can't make it work and keep our kid safe.
Neutered, fully up to date on all vaccinations, etc. Medical documents gladly provided on request. $50 rehoming fee. We can bring Arlo to you, if transport is an issue.
