We're seeking a Maintenance District Technician to join our team. The maintenance district technician is responsible for trash removal and overall cleanliness in all operational and maintenance areas, depending upon immediate needs of the district. The technician is expected to complete general maintenance, litter removal, cleaning, and repair in all areas of assignment. Key Duties: -Maintains and cleans designated district streets, medians, sidewalks, walls, and parking lots. Maintains public facilities, shop and garage areas, and other buildings in a clean and orderly condition. This may involve snow removal in the winter months, should inclement weather arise. -Empties trash containers and removed trash from parks, landscaped areas, and other district property; and performs custodial work as assigned. -Waters, maintains, plants, fertilizes and trim shrubs and trees as needed or requested within the district; performs weed abatement and pest control within district landscaping. -Performs minor maintenance repair on facilities including replacement of light fixtures and the painting and removal of graffiti. -Operates and cleans maintenance equipment and vehicles, lawn mowers and turf equipment, pressure washers, compressors, and chainsaws. Maintains and repairs a variety of hand and power tools ensuring they are in safe and efficient working order. -Responds to callouts and emergencies such as repairs, vandalism, special events clean up, fallen trees and other safety hazards. -Contacts district representatives to inform them of repairs or work to be performed. Requirements- • Must be willing to travel, we will provide a company vehicle. • Must be able to interact with passerby and clients in a professional manner and represent us well. •Ability to work independently - Qualified applicants must be able to work independently, track their time, be reliably reachable throughout the day, and complete tasks in expected time frames provided.
