NORTH MASSAPEQUA, NY — A car crash on the Southern State Parkway Wednesday morning left one driver dead and another injured. According to New York State Police, the two-car crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. on the westbound Southern State Parkway near Exit 31 for the Bethpage State Parkway in North Massapequa. Police did not release details on what caused the crash or identify the drivers. Video from the scene shows a car on fire after colliding with an overpass in the area.
