Full Job Description Mayowood Builders is a general contractor located in Rochester, Minnesota. We are currently seeking 1-2 skilled carpenters to add to our talented team. We are encouraging all experience levels to apply, but ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years’ experience in any of the following areas: framing, interior trim, siding/windows, cabinet installation, deck building, remodeling, etc. Ask yourself these questions: • Do you have a strong work ethic with a positive mindset? • Are you looking for something where you can build a long-term career? • Would you enjoy traveling from site to site? • Do you enjoy being outside? • Do you want a career where every day is different and will require you to think outside the box? Responsibilities: • Show up on time; punctuality is very important. • Must have reliable transportation; cell phone and the ability to log in remotely to Tsheets application. • Worksite cleanup and removal of debris. • Excellent manual dexterity and physical strength – must be able to lift 100 pounds. • Knowledge of all safety rules and regulations • Keeps a clean and safe work environment • Knows how to use hand and power tools properly without supervision • Needs to be able check their own work for accuracy • Outstanding communication with co-workers and clients. • Learn to accurately interpret plans and scope of work. • Installing window & door frames, fixtures and hardware, cabinets, and appliances when necessary Qualifications: • Carpentry experience • Knows how to use hand and power tools properly without supervision • A team player with a strong desire to learn and take personal ownership. • The ability to work efficiently without wasting materials • Able to read and understand blueprints/plans and codes • Own transportation to the jobsite each day • Have your own tool bag and hand tools • Drug free.
