Do you enjoy more hands-on mechanical work? Do you have experience using hand tools? We are looking for hardworking individuals that enjoy utilizing their mechanical skills. Key Technology in Walla Walla is a world-wide leader in food processing equipment. We make conveying, processing, and sorting equipment for processed fruits and vegetables, nuts, dried fruit, fresh-cut produce and more. The Mechanical Assembly Tech would assemble a variety of mechanical products using hand and/or power tools. The products are assembled per engineering drawing and/or work instruction with tools provided. Work content varies in size, shape and complexity creating an engaging work environment. $18 to $21 per hour! Opportunities available on both Day and Swing shift. We offer a 4-day work week schedule! Summary • Follow all safety regulations, report safety hazards, emergencies, and safety concerns. • Maintain a clean and safe • Job efficiencies must be continually improving. • Follow verbal and written instruction given by Production Supervisor. • Works on jobs according to the due dates provided on the router unless otherwise instructed by your Supervisor. • Contact Supervisor or Lead person if there is any problems with job or equipment. • Able to read routers, bills of materials, and drawings to determine material requirements. • Able to read and understand blueprints. • Use fixtures or templates to build equipment as required per blueprint. • Verifies performance of product and prepares for shipment. • Records all necessary data pertaining to product performance. • Interacts with fellow workers to exchange information accurately. • Properly use bar code system to reflect time charged to jobs. • Able to assemble components. • Other duties as assigned.
