Join Cy Young Pitcher Blake Snell & legendary MLB hitting coach Kevin Long to learn professional-level tips and tricks. Along with personal coaching, each participant will receive a t-shirt, a photo with Blake and Kevin, and the opportunity to ask them questions! IMPORTANT: Due to COVID-19 group gathering size regulations, parents will not be able to attend the camp to observe. Kids will need to be dropped off and picked up on time. Kevin is the current MLB Hitting Coach for the Washington Nationals. The 2021 season will mark his 15th consecutive in the Major Leagues and 33rd consecutive in professional baseball. He comes via the University of Arizona where he was a College World Series Champion in 1986. After a storied college career, he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 31st round. Kevin played 8 years in the Minor Leagues for the Royals and coached an additional 7 years in their farm system. In 2007 he became the New York Yankees MLB hitting coach where he would spend the next 8 seasons including a 2009 World Series Championship season. In 2015 Kevin joined the New York Mets for a World Series run that came up just short against the Kansas City Royals. His span with the Mets lasted another two seasons before moving onto the Washington Nationals. His time with the Nationals has featured a 2019 World Series Championship and a Juan Soto batting title. Kevin has coached 16 Silver Slugger award winners, an MVP, and a batting title winner. He is excited to join Blake Snell and share his baseball knowledge with the next generation of ballplayers.
