We are looking for the best Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the area to join our team to work on commercial projects around the Rapid City area. We offer immediate growth and training potential for workers dedicated to their craft. Candidates must have construction experience and be willing to travel in a 1 hour radius of Rapid City. Job Description The purpose of this position is to troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain company equipment. Duties are extended to our large array of equipment, which includes diesel and gasoline trucks, machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and construction equipment. The job minimum qualifications for this position are: a two year certification from a college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Job Duties Included but Not Limited to Equipment maintenance and repair procedures Basic knowledge of heavy equipment used in the construction industry Provide personal mechanic tools Ability to take part in safety training classes Ability to work long hours and weekends when necessary Effective communication, time management and leadership skills Provide daily maintenance of equipment/tools Requirements/Responsibilities Must be at least 18 years of age Basic communication skills Provide personnel tools Provide daily maintenance of equipment/tools Required to follow Safety Handbook Benefits Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance and 401K with company matching Relocation Incentive Trades people: Individuals from out-of-state who come to work in South Dakota can receive a $1,000 Relocation Incentive. The first incentive installment of $500 will be paid after 90 consecutive days of employment, averaging at least 40 hours worked per week. The second $500 will be paid after 365 days of employment, averaging at least 40 hours worked per week.
