Have Stag Beetle Larvae

Have 2 Stag beetle larvae which were accidentally dug up when moving a pile of mulch. Unfortunately I don't have any place to keep them and do not want to kill them since their numbers are declining. Ideal place for them would be a pile of rotting wood. That way they can eat away. Did I mention they are free to whom ever wants them that won't kill them. Please and thank you much
