SSP Industries is looking for General Laborer and/or Pipelayers for our underground utility division. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Locate existing underground utilities by hand digging (potholing) • Install underground waterlines, sanitary sewer lines and storm sewer lines • Backfill waterlines, sanitary sewer lines and storm drain lines utilizing vibratory plates, tampers, (jumping jacks) and remote-controlled trench compactors • General labor and other construction activities as assigned. SAFETY •Promote, execute and adhere to SSP safety program • Wear required PPE • OSHA 10 hour safety training (preferred) but can be obtained upon hire • Attend regular safety trainings. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED SKILLS •Able to work well with others • Attendance and Dependability • 2 years prior experience preferred • Knowledge of hand and power tools utilized for underground pipe installation • Physically able to twist, scoop, bend, kneel, ascend ladders, descend ladders, and walk on uneven ground. • Valid Drivers License **Please stop by our Killeen location to apply in person; feel free to call/text for more information** 2749 Chaparral Rd Killeen, Texas 76542
