I lived in Calif for all my life. When I turned 60, I retired and moved to Idaho. HOLY SHIT what a difference !! Besides the awesome scenery in Idaho, cheap prices, friendly people and world-class outdoor activities, we have MONEY to spare!! Last year, our state government had a surplus, so they sent $50 checks back to every taxpayer. This year, they had a bigger surplus, so they sent everyone $75. A recent study showed that 11 states didn't lock down for covid and their economies did much better than the states that did shut down. Death and hospitalization numbers were virtually identical, so the 'mask up' crowd really didn't fare any better than the non-masked. Speaking of budget surpluses, I hear that California has a budget 'surplus' this year, too. The big difference is, taxpayers won't be getting a check back, because Gavin will find another way to spend that money. That's the difference between Conservative and Liberal: Conservatives look at tax money as "Taxpayer money", while Liberals look at tax money as 'Their money". I heard this year Gavin's budget surplus is going to take care of illegals and make sure they have a home, food, clothing and medicine.
