After attending the CA-GOP convention, I realized we are on our own. But all is not lost. The RebebuildCalifornia.com Team is fighting with you to take our state back. We take action where the political parties have failed us. Wait, what did he say? The Republican party in California is part of the problem? Yup! That is exactly what I said. They haven’t done a damn thing worthwhile in decades. Zero Republicans hold a state office. The Democrats hold a super majority strangle hold over California. The CA GOP botched a once in a lifetime opportunity to invest in California when the people put the Recall of Governor Gavin Newsom on the ballot. You hold the power to make things better. When you support individual candidates, rather than donating to the CA GOP, your money is much better spent. If we are going to fix what's wrong with our state, we must look within to find the solutions. I'm retired Sheriff’s Sergeant Orrin Heatlie, the Lead proponent of the Governor Newsom Recall (largest petition drive in US history), now Chairman of RebuildCalifornia.com, and a voting delegate of the CA-GOP. I have seen for myself, the systemic corruption within the CA GOP. Follow along with me for just a moment. Shortly after receiving approval by the Secretary of State to circulate recall petitions, I received a call from a high-ranking CA GOP executive, who asked us to cease our efforts and stop the recall… WOW, Wait? What??? Hold on! Was this the really coming from the CA-GOP? Yes it was. I was told, we were "distracting people" from more important "Republican issues and concerns." I was told we are "taking valuable resources away from what really mattered." Republican issues? What really mattered? We were fighting for all Californians' constitutional rights against a Governor who disregarded our vote and violated our rights. What “Republican issue” could have been more important? The Republican Party in California has been on a steady decline for decades due to weak and ineffective leadership. I am tired of taking second place at the ballot box and I bet you are too.
