Description

• Every year the USSC leaves its blockbuster case for the final episode of the season, then on the day they leave for a four-month paid vacation, they drop the bombshell and disappear in obscurity. • In the 1970's, the women's movement was a powerful entity. They were led by in your face, non-negotiating feminists such as Gloria Steinem, Susan Brownmiller and Kate Millett et al. They once boasted that no one would survive politically and try to turn back the clock on pro-choice. My how times have changed. • Only the tiniest minority of American citizens believe abortion should be criminalized. In fact, the majority are pro-choice. And even amongst those who identify as pro-life, 24% believe it is the woman's choice, not the governments. • The supreme court knew this vote would be divisive. From the very start were accusations of the GOP stacking seats solely for the purpose of this very vote. They are also aware of social news, and the fact that for decades, those who at the time seemed to be alarmists plainly predicted that this would occur. • It was the court that "leaked" this information. They knew dropping it and running would set up a national crisis. Somehow, this seemed an easier, softer way. • In closing, it is a popular post on this board to "fire all the Democrats." When you see the outrage in the streets this summer, just remember it was not the Democratic Party that did this to you. Remember also, it was a stacked Republican court that decided Roe v Wade in 1973. The new "Republicans." Not exactly the brightest bulbs in the box.
