ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (Tasks depend on what is needed on a given day) - Change bed linen and make beds - Replace used towels - Care and wash of sheets and towels - Sweep and mop floors - Vacuum carpets - Dust furniture - Replenish bath care products (e.g. soap and shampoo) - Restock beverages and food items in the mini-bar - Clean public areas, like corridors - Report any technical issues and maintenance needs - Help guests retrieve lost items - Ensure all assigned rooms are clean and tidy by the end of the shift - Cleans guest rooms and guest areas, including: making beds; dusting and vacuuming; cleaning bathroom; replacing supplies; cleaning windows, mirrors, and patios - Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets - Maintains a stocked, organized, and clean cart with sufficient supplies - Reports maintenance issues through appropriate channels for resolution - Reports and secures lost and found items - Keeps supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart at end of shift - Delivers guest requests and pick up of used guest items - Conserves energy by closing shades and draperies; turning down air conditioning and heat of unoccupied rooms - Communicates with guest on a professional and friendly manner - Reports hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to property manager - Does additional tasks assign by the property manager within reasonable accommodation REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: - Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends or Holidays if needed. - Proficient Smart phone: iPhone or Android - Ability to communicate in English and Spanish - Successful completion of general background check and drug screen - Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products - Good physical health and stamina - Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards - Excellent organization skills - Prior experience in housekeeping including; sanitation, laundry operations, and/or guest services - Excellent customer service and oral communication skills - Previous housekeeping or general cleaning experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Able to lift up to 30 lbs. - Able to push/pull up to 100 lbs. - Able to bend, stretch, and twist - Able to work with chemicals according to directions
