Forklift Driver/Material Handler | $18 - $20 hourly | 2nd Shift | Hiring Now! A great company in Costa Mesa, CA that has been serving the plumbing industry ever since 1983 is has an opportunity to join their team! As a Warehouse Clerk/ Forklift Driver you will be responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving the incoming vendor shipments and customer return material. You will also be stocking, documenting, and packing customer orders. Schedule: Monday through Friday 12:00pm-8:00pm Overtime Opportunities! Pay: $18 hourly to $20 hourly Depending on Experience This a temp to hire position! Warehouse Clerk / Forklift Driver: • Operate sit down forklift and other material handling equipment safely. • Load and unload trucks. • Receive vendor shipments or customer return, obtain the packing slip and count, and verify material received. • Write received quantities and all shipping discrepancies (Overshipments, undershipments, mis-shipments, damage/shorted freight claim) on the packing slip. • Print and verify the receiving documents and receive material in the system or forward the receiving documents to the office personnel for data entry. • Identify special order/damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations. • Note all shipping discrepancies on freight carrier’s Bill of Lading; initiate freight claims with freight carriers or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee. • Pick material for orders and write quantities picked on the shipping document. • Check picked material against printed ticket to ensure accuracy. • Complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier. • Inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/non saleable merchandise. • Ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets. • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order and safety. • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required. Warehouse Clerk / Forklift Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience • 1 year of safely operating a sit-down forklift • Be able to practice safety precautions in a warehouse • Able to learn and operate (keyboard and mouse) the applicable software system (Eclipse, Mincron) used for warehouse-related operations.
