Smitty’s is looking for a person with simple mechanical and electrical skills to join our team of Vending Technicians. No experience is necessary, training will be provided. Smitty’s Vending Service has a commitment to success to our customers, partners and employees. As such, we hold our technicians to a high standard of service. You will be responsible to service all types of vending machines, including snack, soda and coffee machines. Smitty’s is the leading dealer of new and refurbished vending machines in the Northwest. We take pride in taking well-used machines and transforming them to like-new condition. Our vending technicians take pride in their ability to complete that transformation. While we are looking for a person to work primarily in the shop, there may be opportunities from time to time to work in the field providing service to our customers’ machines. When that occurs, a vehicle will be provided. Technicians will work with minimal supervision and are required to attend meetings and training held in our service center. Requirements and Responsibilities: • Perform troubleshooting or diagnose service problems and repairs as needed. • Maintain inventory and maintenance on equipment such as parts, tools and vehicle. • Receive dispatched service calls as assigned and ensure prompt response. • Review service orders and service performed with the customer. • In some locations the technician will be responsible for machine movement and various other duties assigned. Competencies: • Mechanical aptitude • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Must be a self-starter and be able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner • Good oral and written communication skills Minimum Requirements • Valid Driver’s License • Ability to lift 55 lbs. or more on a regular basis. Occasional lifting up to 70 lbs.
