I noticed a sudden boom this year of unethicallay bred corgis bred solely for the desirable "Merle" coat this is not standard nor is it possible in the Pembroke Welsh corgi..Only Cardigan corgis (they have tails) can be AKC Registered or PUREbred in the Merle color any other ones are MUTTS. No exception please stop supporting the breeding of Merle Pembroke Welsh corgis as it is leading to double Merle, health problems,a ridiculous amount of mutts and the mass breeding of these wonderful dogs for sheer profit.(it's okay if you already have one no judgement I made this mistake too and I cherish mine dearly but I don't want more people to be scammed like I was. And I Hate seeing deaf or blind pups because people like the merle color better if you want merle get a cardigan or aussie.)
