PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Pinellas County Public Schools' students continue to outperform their peers as highlighted in the new high school rankings by the U.S. News & World report. The newly released Best High Schools named five Pinellas County high schools in top 20 positions in Tampa Bay. The high schools in the district that made the top 20 list are: #6 Osceola Fundamental High School in Seminole with a 98 percent graduation rate and a 50 score for college readiness score #7 Palm Harbor University High School in Palm Harbor with a 99 percent graduation rate and 52.7 score for college readiness #10 St. Petersburg Collegiate High School with a 100 percent graduation rate and 26.6 college readiness score #11 East Lake High School with a 100 percent graduation rate and a 52.7 college readiness score #12 St. Petersburg High School with a 94 percent graduation rate and 62.7 college readiness score The Best High School rankings are based on six key elements that contribute to student success: college readiness, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.The full list is available here.
