"Anyone with a box of colors and some paper can have a conversation with God." Maybe you love color. Maybe you are a visual or kinesthetic learner, a distractible or impatient soul or a word-weary pray-er. Perhaps you struggle with a short attention span, a restless body, or a tendency to live in your head. Maybe you're not sure that anyone out there is listening, or you just feel deep in your bones a hunger to know God better. Ginny Raftery, an experienced artist, retreat and workshop speaker, will facilitate the process that invites the whole body into prayer and gives participants a new way to be with God. She will guide the class through the Praying in Color™ art experience. This methodology was created when author Sybil MacBeth's desperation to pray for family and friends intersected with her love of color and doodling. All supplies will be provided for this class-- all you have to bring is a body and spirit ready to create.
