NEWTOWN, CT — In an effort to return their case to the courts in Connecticut, eight Sandy Hook families and an FBI agent who won a defamation lawsuit against Alex Jones have dropped three of his companies, the News-Times is reporting.
The families have asked a federal judge to return their case to trial court.
Alex Jones was ordered by a Texas court to pay $1 million in legal fees for the families of two victims in the 2012 Sandy Hook mass shooting who adopted a similar strategy.
Jones was sued by the families when he claimed the December 2012 murders at the elementary school were a hoax, but he has since said that the shooting did occur.
