NEWTOWN, CT — The Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority is hosting a "Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Event" from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Newtown Public Works Garage, located at 4 Turkey Hill Road, in Newtown. The event is only open to residents of Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, Kent, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, Weston and Wilton. Hazardous materials accepted include camera batteries, moth balls, paints, septic tank degreasers and more. See below for a more complete list.
