WAYLAND, MA — More than 1,600 Wayland residents were still without power shortly before noon and some main roads were still blocked following a strong Wednesday night storm. The outages and storm damage were concentrated along Route 27 and across Route 20 near town hall, according to Eversource. About 1,681 people were still without power as of 11:30 a.m. Eversource did not immediately have an estimate when power would be restored. Before noon, Wayland police reported that Pemberton Road, Main Street and King streets, Concord Road and Claypit Hill, and Old Connecticut Path East and Route 20 were blocked due to either downed trees or Eversource work.
