WAYLAND, MA — Some absentee voters in Wayland may have been sent ballots with the incorrect precinct numbers, according to the town clerk's office. Clerk Anna Ludwig is asking all Wayland voters who were mailed ballots to check the top right corner for the correct precinct number. This year, Wayland voters in precinct 4 are getting a different ballot than those in precincts 1, 2 and 3. Voters in precincts 1, 2 and 3 will see the state House race between Rep. Carmine Gentile and challenger Ingrid Centurion. Precinct 4 is located in an area between Route 126 and the Weston line, and from Glezen Lane to the Mainstone area. You can see a map on the town website. If you got the wrong ballot — or if you already sent one in and aren't sure if it was correct — contact the clerk's office either by emailing [email protected] or by calling 508-358-6795. Many voters are choosing to vote absentee in November due to the coronavirus pandemic. Close to 3,600 people voted absentee in the September primary in Wayland, according to the clerk's office.
