TEMECULA, CA — A man killed in a Temecula motorcycle crash over the weekend was identified Tuesday as a Murrieta resident.
Harry Young, 69, died at the scene when he crashed his bike at 27999 Jefferson Avenue just before 7 p.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.
A preliminary investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department showed Young slammed into the back of an SUV. The sheriff's department is still investigating why he didn't brake in time.
"It is unknown if intoxication played a role in this collision," the sheriff's department said.
No other injuries were reported.
