WAYLAND, MA — A Wayland teenager was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a collision with a car. According to firefighters, the 13-year-old was riding a bicycle when he was hit by a driver in a car. The teen was taken to Boston Children's Hospital via helicopter, the department said. The collision happened around 4:30 p.m. along Route 27 near Old Connecticut Path, Chief Neil McPherson said. The cause of the collision was still under investigation as of Tuesday evening. Crews transported a 13 yo male to Town Hall landing zone as a result of car vs. bicycle accident. Sudbury firefighters provided aid to Wayland during the landing.
