My Girl Story is a documentary filmed and produced in Detroit that focuses the lives of two African-American girls – Monay Williams and Shokana Blevins – as they journey from adolescence to adulthood.
The goals of the film and this event are to build community for Black girls, especially those with disabilities, and teach girls the power of their voice. My Girl Story has been screened at numerous film festivals and conferences throughout the United States.
