Hi, my name is Georgie and I am currently the only care provider for 3 women with disabilities in Arcata who are in need of additional support with simple domestic chores and care. The job requires you to register through the In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program which is a bit of a hassle, but once you're in the benefits are great. Here is the website so you can see what it is.. THIS IS A GOVERNMENT JOB, just to be clear. The money you receive will be coming from Betty Yee, and you will need to submit a background check with registration. If this is not safe or preferable to you, please stop reading. Normally the program will help recipients (the people we take care of) to find a caregiver, but that process can be extremely slow and often unfruitful. The women I work for are all really amazing and special to me which is why I am taking the time to write this ad. I have enjoyed working for them for almost three years now, and it has been such a great job for me as a college student who needs/wants large chunks of time off and a flexible schedule.
